London Collections: Mens
As you may all well know, Women's fashion week has been and gone on this side of the pond. And although I am always excited to see the new season collections for womenswear. This year most of my interest was and still is in London Collections. The first of it's own, this June past men's fashion in London took centre stage. Traditionally the men's shows have always been confided to one day at the end of women's fashion week and lacked the praise / attention / appreciation that it deserves.
However this June all that changed, launched by Prince Charles himself and headed by Dylan Jones (GQ) London Collections: Mens was introduced. A three day event filled with SS13 presentations, catwalk shows and some of the most stylish men I have ever seen! It was so much of a pleasure to be involved though I didn't get to see any shows because of it, I do however have access to style.com so here are my favourite highlights!

Margret Howell

Jonathan Saunders

Christopher Kane

Jil Sander

Richard Nicoll

Azealia Banks - Mermaids Ball
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am the biggest groupie for Azealia Banks she is my breathe the music industry has been shoveling some of the most mind numbing, dumbed down pieces of crap and labeling it music. With lyrics, song composition and visuals just being.... eugh I could go on forever (like I have befoof fresh air! Her song "1991" takes me to the happiest place, which no other musician has done in a long time. I had actually begun to give up on anything post - 2006 because lets be honestre) but let me not go of course. Azealia is a very talented young woman and I am excited to see what more she has to offer.
In fact I am actually a bit upset at the moment because I am going to miss the infamous Mermaid's Ball show, she will be hosting and playing at the sea aquarium here in London 13th October. If you haven't got a ticket get one if they are still available it will be AH - MAZING! If not, like me you can just enjoy her new visuals for her singles "Luxury" and "1991" of her EP "Fantasea"

Great Gatsby
It was exactly a year ago when I posted about "The Season Of Gentry" on the 21st of this month and sure enough yesterday (The 22nd) the trailer for the movie "The Great Gatsby" was released.
I have already created a montage of my favourite looks which I have embedded above, can you feel the excitement?
I have watched it six times in counting and I am even more super anxious for Autumn / Winter '12 to arrive now that it has got me out of my blogging hibernation! Now I know Summer only arrived today in the UK so before you start making blasphemous comments keep your cap on and hear me out!
I'm not only excited about the release of the film, I am also excited because of the beautiful menswear pieces that will be re-discovered and appreciated once again. One brand in particular that I hope will make it's mark come A/W "12 is Marwood headed by the beautiful Becky French. Her tie's, bow- ties, scarves and pocket squares are beautifully crafted and all produced in England (which very rare nowadays), all round I think she is a genius there is no doubt about that. However I maybe biased, so I have included images of some of her SS '12 and "Classic Lace"collection below so you can decide for yourself. Also check out her blog it's definitely one of my favourites http://marwooduk.blogspot.co.uk/ - The Gatsby trailer is after the break.

Man Like Me - Squeeze
So Man Like Me are making big waves now I hear...I don't want to share.... but it's good that they are finally getting the recognition they deserve. With a little help from one of my favourites Mr "A Grand Don't Come For Free" they have now become one of Dj Annie Mac's favourites.
With Johnny Like dressed as a East London Vodoo warrior and Peter dressed as cowboy priest running around an estate looking for virgin prey? You could say their video for their single "Squeeze" is beyond DIFFERENT but it makes me giggle and I love this song it's officially on my summer playlist. Have a listen though and let me know whether you agree?
HAPPY SUMMER PEOPLE!

Iggy Azalea - The last song
The world of music and fashion have been intertwined since well... forever and this new female artist Iggy Azalea is about to storm both worlds this year. An internet sensation, Australian born Iggy's music video's have gone viral and has already drummed up a lot of buzz.
They say she's the next Nicki Minaj... I disagree though both are female's are rappers and are heavily addicted to "fashion" I much prefer Iggy's sense of style. The one to watch for 2012.

Ben Sherman AW12
Taken From : DazedDigital.com
Beautifully designed menswear has become a new love of mine and Ben Sherman's offering for AW12 will not disappoint. Having been lucky enough to be invited to their catwalk experience, I can hand on heart say that this brand is definitely on it's way to being more relevant than ever before and for all the good reasons. I will be able to elaborate about my "experience" soon but for now if you would like to see backstage pictures and an interview about the collection with the incredible Creative Director (Mark Maidment) then headover to dazed - digital right now! MAN LIKE ME - Peculiar
Waking up to a sunny morning, with no sign of 700mph hour gale force winds, emails of SS12 previews and this song continually on repeat in my head - just reminded me that my favourite season Spring is round the corner and Summer is not to far behind YES!
