MAN LIKE ME - Sleaze

Loving Man Like Me's new offering "Sleaze" shot in Rankin's studio (Ahhh the dance moves). Looks like 2013 maybe theirs,  they seem to have gained a lot more fans / popularity / visibility in the last year and rightfully so. Excited for the release of their album in March - they will also be playing a few shows up and down UK so be sure to catch them in your town.

Man Like Me - Squeeze

So Man Like Me are making big waves now I hear...I don't want to share.... but it's good that they are finally getting the recognition they deserve. With a little help from one of my favourites Mr "A Grand Don't Come For Free" they have now become one of Dj Annie Mac's favourites.

With Johnny Like dressed as a East London Vodoo warrior and Peter dressed as cowboy priest running around an estate looking for virgin prey? You could say their video for their single "Squeeze" is beyond DIFFERENT but it makes me giggle and I love this song it's officially on my summer playlist. Have a listen though and let me know whether you agree?

HAPPY SUMMER PEOPLE!

Iggy Azalea - The last song

The world of music and fashion have been intertwined since well... forever and this new female artist Iggy Azalea is about to storm both worlds this year. An internet sensation, Australian born Iggy's music video's have gone viral and has already drummed up a lot of buzz.

They say she's the next Nicki Minaj... I disagree though both are female's are rappers and are heavily addicted to "fashion" I much prefer Iggy's sense of style. The one to watch for 2012.

MAN LIKE ME - Peculiar

Waking up to a sunny morning, with no sign of 700mph hour gale force winds, emails of SS12 previews and this song continually on repeat in my head - just reminded me that my favourite season Spring is round the corner and Summer is not to far behind YES!

Kreayshawn - Gucci Gucci

So the relatively new artist "Kreayshawn" has been popping up on my radar for the last few days so decided to see what the hype is all about.

A member of the group "White Girl Mob" she calls herself a "Rap Beast"/Dj/Editor/Cinematographer/ Bitch Snatcher/ list goes on and on. It's safe to say that she is part of the "new wave" of hip hop that's being projected by Lil' B, The Odd Future and The Pack. She can call the odd future guys her associates in crime with Left Brain from The Odd Future group even featuring in her new video.

Kreashawyn I predict will be on the lips of many in the next coming months as she's already creating waves on the internet. Question is am I feeling  her and the White Girl Mob's music......NO COMMENT!!!

Mos Def at XOYO

Mos Def graced London with his presence last Thursday in the intimate at XOYO to headline Ben Sherman's V.I.P (Very Important Plectrums) Launch Night. A charity project in partnership with Trekstock, The night was amazing and had a unimaginable turn out with over a 1000 people coming out to support the cause (plus see Def) the line was crazy! There was a mix of celebrities, Industry Folk, Models, Hip-Hop heads and the indie hoxton lot all in one room, don't think I've ever seen or heard of one brand managing to do that before.

Kill it Kid opened up but unfortunately I missed it due to helping with interviews outside (But managed to hear during soundcheck so I know they were great), however with free drinks following and great music from the beginning to end I would say overall it was a successful night and hopefully raised awareness for not only the Auction which will be taking place from the 29th of May but also the beautiful direction Ben Sherman is going in as a brand .

Mos Def recently did an interview on the importance of fashion, found it quite interesting and was reinforced even more when I got to see him last Thursday at XOYO when he remixed Ben Sherman famous saying "Looking good isn't important, it's everything" into "looking like shit is not an option!"
